How to care for your custom knife:

  • NO KNIVES ARE DISHWASHER SAFE! Hand wash only with mild soap and water.

  • High carbon steels (1084, 1095, 15N20, 80CrV2, etc.) will rust if left wet. To avoid this, always wash and dry immediately after use, getting wet, or being exposed to any chemicals.

  • Stainless steels (AEB-L, 440C, 410, MagnaCut, MagnaMax, etc.) are NOT corrosion-proof, they are corrosion-RESISTANT. They still require regular cleaning, oil, and upkeep. Always clean immediately after use on any acidic food (citrus, tomatoes, etc.) to prevent discoloration.

  • Dry knife with a soft cloth only. Never use abrasives on it.

  • Make sure to apply a thin coat of food-safe oil to the steel routinely to prevent corrosion and maintain the natural finish and shine.

  • To ensure long-lasting performance, regularly sharpen your blade and use a honing rod designed for the style of knife you have.

  • Never try to replicate strength testing you may see on TV, social media, or other platforms with your knife. While your knife was crafted to be strong and durable, the tests you see on TV and online are often much more intense than what normal knives are designed to withstand.
